Matte black hang-tab window carton with side spec panel, floating bands, and sync-ready lifestyle callouts.

Client Arclyx

Description

Arclyx is a fictional connected-wear brand for Pulse One, a square-face smartwatch built for everyday sync and motion. We redesigned a matte black hang-tab window carton with a clear front reveal, disciplined white typography, and a side spec panel with app previews and connectivity icons — then staged interchangeable silicone bands, a magnetic charge cable, a subtle phone silhouette, and soft signal accents outside the pack with exterior lines for Stay Synced. Move Free., 7-Day Battery, Water Ready, Quick Pair, and All-Day Alerts so the collection tile reads as premium minimal tech retail theatre.

Design storytelling

From brief to designed solution

Black cube as the tech confidence signal: hang-tab shelf presence, window-as-product-hero, side panel as the quiet spec sheet. Outside the dieline, spare bands, coiled cable, phone outline, and teal signal dots plus margin callouts lift a wearable carton into an enriched electronics poster without third-party OS or trademark lock-ups on the artwork.

Smartwatch retail packaging often clones legacy black-window carton formulas with third-party platform badges and placeholder feature bullets, or collapses into bare white packshots that read like generic electronics kits. The brief needed an original fictional wearables brand, redesigned hang-tab window carton with clear English feature stories, and a square 1080 enriched lifestyle poster with tech props and external typography — distinct from gaming-controller and LED bulb neighbours.

We invented Arclyx and Pulse One, rebuilt hierarchy around ARCLYX lock-up → Pulse One → Connected Wear → side spec icons, and validated an exactly 1080×1080 enriched lifestyle packshot with bands, cable, and margin callouts outside the pack. Packaging, electronics, and custom-electronics tags mark the work for collection filters.
